Global Warming Definition

Global Warming definition is the observed increase in the average temperature of the earth’s lower atmosphere and ocean surface. Another way to put it is simply by saying that global warming is a sudden change of the climate/temperature. The earth is getting warmer.

It is said to be the biggest and most dangerous environmental problem of the world nowadays. Global warming occurs when the earth’s atmosphere heats up and the temperature rises. This happens when the greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, water vapor, and methane trap the light and heat from the sun in our earth’s lower atmosphere which will now lead to an increase of temperature.

Greenhouse gases that occur naturally in our earth’s atmosphere can also contribute to the greenhouse effect. This is one of the major cause or reason of the global warming.  There are some of the greenhouse gases that have been leveling up caused mainly by human activities.

When the greenhouse effect occurs, the earth’s ozone layer would be burned which results in warm temperature. If the temperature gets warm the north and south poles will ice will melt. What will happen next? Ocean water level goes up. It comes to the point wherein water levels are uncontrollable. This is where floods occur.

Change in temperature can also lead to an extreme change in weather. This is mainly the reason why Global warming is not good for us. It is harmful and it affects many parts of the world like people, nature and animals.

Some cannot easily adapt to this sudden change of temperature which will be a result in death. There are also human activities that contribute to it and may lead to global warming such as burning of fossil fuels which mostly occurs in factories, automobiles, and in electric power plants, and clearing of lands like cutting of trees. 

Due to the high sensitivity of animals on farms and crop plants, farming could really be affected. As global warming continues, the ocean gets harder. This can make tropical storms more frequent and more powerful because of the energy that it can get through the hot ocean. 

In most cases there are things that we can do in order to prevent this from getting worse.  We can reduce the pollution that we produce from power plants and vehicles. Government should provide a technology that will produce an electricity generator for widespread use.

As a common person you can also help fight global warming. One way is by conserving energy. Make it a part of your daily routine. One example on how to conserve energy is by lowering the energy that you usually use in a day. By reducing the amount of energy consumed, you are also lowering the carbon dioxide pollution.  It may be just a small thing for you but still that small thing is already a big help to you and the world you are living specifically your atmosphere. You should help take care of it and give it some of your concerns and attention. The global warming definition is just the words behind what we come to observe in the last years.
